St. Paul’s College was established as a Catholic college in 1926 and became an affiliate of the University of Manitoba in 1936. Easily identified by its distinctive bell tower, the college is the principal Catholic higher education institution in Manitoba. It is located on the Fort Garry campus of the University of Manitoba in southern Winnipeg, near the Red River.

At St. Paul’s College, each person is valued, as is the search for truth by faith and reason, and ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue. Students at St. Paul’s College are diverse in ethnicity, faith and country of origin and all are welcomed.

Courses offered at St. Paul’s College are in the arts, social sciences, natural sciences and related areas and these are integrated with those of the University of Manitoba. The college also offers a Catholic Studies B.A. minor and, through the Arthur V. Mauro Centre for Peace and Justice, a Master’s (joint program with the University of Winnipeg) and a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies.

The Jesuit Centre for Catholic Studies is a teaching, research and service facility funded and operated by St. Paul’s College with support from the Jesuits in English Canada. It is particularly concerned with those involved in academic reflection, catechetical work and religious education related to the Catholic and Jesuit identity throughout the world.

The St. Paul’s College Campus Ministry is home to the local Canadian Catholic Students’ Association. Its programs focus on spiritual development, outreach, and service learning.
