The University of Prince Edward Island offers a wide range of programs in a dynamic and diverse learning environment that supports student success in the faculties of Arts, Business, Education, Nursing, Science, and Veterinary Medicine. Located on beautiful Prince Edward Island, the university combines 200 years of tradition with leading-edge local, regional, national, and international experiential learning opportunities.

One such opportunity is UPEI’s new Applied Communication, Leadership and Culture (ACLC) program within the Faculty of Arts. Students acquire leadership and communication skills essential to their post-graduation careers through a humanities-based education focused on creative thinking, oral and written communications skills, open-mindedness, and adaptability. They gain practical experience through work placements and international exchanges.

As well, the new UPEI Greenwich School of Climate Change and Adaptation, within the Faculty of Science, emphasizes hands-on learning in a living laboratory set in rural PEI. Unique in Canada, the school offers a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Climate Change and Adaptation.A key focus is the student experience, demonstrated by strong learning support programs, close interaction between professors and students, and opportunities for collaborative research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. UPEI manages almost $13 million in annual research income and boasts exceptional graduate programs in all faculties and schools. To further develop graduate programs and research, the university has established a School of Graduate Studies.

These new programs, along with the schools of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, and Sustainable Design Engineering, position UPEI as a leader in real-world, experiential learning, and innovation.
